LONDON — MMA Junkie was on the scene reporting live from Friday’s UFC Fight Night 208 fighter weigh-ins, where all 28 fighters on the card hit their targets for Saturday’s event.
In the headliner, Curtis Blaydes (16-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) takes on rising British star Tom Aspinall (12-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC) at heavyweight. Blaydes has a nine-pound weight advantage after the weigh-ins. He came in at 260 pounds. Aspinall was 251 years old.
In the co-feature, middleweight Jack Hermansson (22-7 MMA, 9-5 UFC) meets late replacement Chris Curtis (29-8 MMA, 3-0 UFC), who replaced an injured Darren Till. Both fighters hit the non-title limit of 186 pounds.
Additionally, rising lightweight star Paddy Pimblett (18-3 MMA, 2-0 UFC) weighed in at 156 pounds for his lightweight bout against Jordan Leavitt (10-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC), who was 155. And Pimblett’s teammate, Molly McCann. was 125.5 for her women’s flyweight bout against Hannah Goldy, who was 125.
The first weigh-ins took place at the UFC’s host hotel in London and preceded the weigh-in ceremonies for the fans, which take place at 12 noon ET at the O2 in London. The same venue hosts Saturday’s event, which airs on ESPN+.
