Bryce Mitchell challenges Henry Cejudo after “Talkin’ S**t For Years”

UFC featherweight contender Bryce Mitchell wants Henry Cejudo a chance for the former bantamweight champion’s long-awaited return.

Mitchell burst into the featherweight title conversation with six straight wins. He recently picked up victories over Edson Barboza and Andre Fili in the Octagon.

Cejudo, the former two-weight UFC champion, has returned to the USADA test group and is planning a return to MMA. He teased a potential superfight with Alexander Volkanovski for months and offered to replace injured Max Holloway earlier this year.

If Cejudo is serious about moving up to featherweight for this next chapter of his UFC career, Mitchell is ready to be his first retired opponent.

In a recent tweetMitchell offered to be Cejudo’s first opponent for his expected return to UFC Octagon.

“I’m going to adjust Triple C because he wants an adjustment so badly,” Mitchell said of Cejudo. “He’s been sitting on his couch talking shit for years now.”

A matchup between Mitchell and Cejudo would pit two elite grapplers against each other. Cejudo is an Olympic gold medalist in freestyle wrestling, and most of Mitchell’s victories have been due to his prowess on the floor.

Mitchell and Cejudo didn’t have bad blood between them, but it’s clear that Cejudo’s “cringe king” persona irritated Mitchell. Cejudo could book his comeback fight soon and Mitchell appears to be a willing opponent.
