Canadian featherweight Felicia (FeeNom) Spencer will face Leah (Nidas) Letson in a UFC Fight Night show on November 13 in Las Vegas.
Spencer (8-3-0) just made a split decision with Brazilian Norma (The Immortal) Dumont in May. Dumont (6-1-0) replaced injured Danyelle Wolf on the card at the UFC’s Apex production plant. Two of the three judges gave Spencer the third round, with one also giving him the second.
It was the first outing for Montrealer Spencer, who now lives in Orlando at her home, since June 2020, when she lost a decision to featherweight champion Amanda (Liones) Nunes at UFC 250.
After winning her first seven fights, the 30-year-old Spencer has now lost three of her last four – albeit to championship-caliber opponents to Nunes and Cris Cyborg (at UFC 240 in July 2019). Spencer is 2-3-0 in the UFC.
Letson (5-1-0) hasn’t fought since November 2018, when she won her UFC debut in a split decision against Lithuanian Julija Stoliarenko. Letson, 29, was an actor in Season 28 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” qualifying for the semi-finals of the reality show.
Letson was sidelined by a thyroid problem, among other health issues from overtraining.
The main event on the November card sees former featherweight champion (Blessed) Max Holloway, now ranked No.1 among 145 pounds, take on No.3 Yair Rodriguez.
