Conor McGregor still manages to make the headlines even as he is recovering from a broken leg suffered during his last appearance at the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
TMZ Sports, the former UFC two-division champion was involved in an altercation with musician Machine Gun Kelly – whose first name is Colson Baker – at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY
McGregor reported that he approached Kelly initially to request a photo and was refused by the musician. This situation would have escalated with Kelly pushing McGregor, forcing the Irish star to spill his glass. McGregor then threw what was left of his drink at MGK, which led to the two men being separated by security personnel on site.

During the brief scuffle, McGregor briefly lost his cane, which he was using to recover from the broken leg, before it was returned to him. The SBG Ireland star still managed to enter for the ceremony, according to TMZ Sports. Kelly, who was accompanied by movie star Megan Fox’s girlfriend, was scheduled to perform at the event.
McGregor last fought at UFC 264 in July, where he suffered a horrific broken leg in a first-round TKO loss to Dustin Poirier at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. “Notorious” underwent surgery in which an intramedullary rod was inserted into her tibia and a plate and screws were attached to her fibula. In the wake, McGregor revealed he had pre-existing stress fractures in his leg ahead of his trilogy fight against Poirier. UFC President Dana White has said he expects McGregor to be sidelined for at least a year.
