Conor McGregor has categorically denied having a altercation with rapper Machine Gun Kelly at the MTV Awards in New York, despite a mountain of videos online proving otherwise.
The UFC star, who was attending the awards show alongside his wife, Dee Devlin, said “absolutely nothing” had happened between him and the artist.

Machine Gun Kelly, real name Colson Baker, had arrived at the event with her partner, actress and model Megan Fox, before the brawl broke out on the play mat.
McGregor appeared to throw a drink at Baker, while Fox was quickly whisked away.
Talk with Entertainment tonight after the event, McGregor said “nothing happened”.
“I don’t know. I just arrived and I don’t know. I don’t even know the guy to be honest with you. Just rumors,” he said.
“Nothing happened with me. I only fight real fighters. People who really fight. I’m definitely not fighting the little white rappers in Vanilla Ice.
“I don’t even know the guy. I don’t know anything about him except he’s with Megan Fox.
When asked about the incident later that evening, Fox strangely said she was not permitted to discuss it.
“We don’t have the right to say it,” she said.
A source told the New York Post that McGregor had been “ready to throw his fists” and that security was struggling to keep the situation under control.
This all happened despite McGregor still recovering from a broken leg he suffered in his recent UFC loss to Dustin Poirier.
UFC stars laugh at Conor McGregor’s behavior at MTV Awards
After the event, McGregor’s team released a statement denying that McGregor had started the altercations.
“Conor McGregor did not ask anyone for a photo, nor was he the cause of this incident,” a statement said.
“He doesn’t know Machine Gun Kelly, other than seeing Conor’s fight last July.”
However, several of McGregor’s UFC colleagues were incredibly unimpressed with the Irishman’s demeanor.
Veteran Mike Swick tweeted that McGregor had lost all respect in the MMA world.
“Conor has lost his mind! You have to be a family member to respect this man as a human. He’s proof that money can’t buy class.
“MGK was playing! Don’t go to his gig and fuck his brains out before you play dude. Not everyone wants to take a photo with you. Me included.
Former boxer Antonio Tarver has also targeted McGregor, saying his bad behavior in public gives everyone a bad name.
“I don’t know about all of you, but I’m so tired of this straight bully and thug keep going on rampaging in public places… it’s obvious @thenotoriousmma is out of control and I don’t know what’s going on with them so long to lock up his disrespectful a **.
