As far as gnarly footage of a fighter’s cut goes, it doesn’t get any more harmful than what UFC President Dana White shared on Saturday night following UFC Fight Night 210.
Gregory Rodrigues showed a lot of heart in his gutsy TKO win over Chidi Njokuani at UFC Apex. It didn’t look good for Rodrigues early on after he was hit with a perfectly timed knee that split him between the eyebrows.
The cut threatened to end the fight after the first round, but the cage doctor let him continue, allowing Rodrigues to rally in the second round for the finish.
Next, White shared an absolutely grotesque before-and-after slide of Rodrigues’ cut to his Instagram Story, which you can see below:
For his troubles, Rodrigues (and Njokuani) earned a $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus. Thank God.
