Danny Chavez vs. Ricardo Ramos joins June 18 event in Austin



UFC featherweights Danny Chavez and Ricardo Ramos will be looking to bounce back when they square off in June.

Chavez (11-4-1 MMA, 1-1-1 UFC) meets Ramos (15-4 MMA, 6-3 UFC) on June 18 at UFC Fight Night at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. The main card aired on ESPN2 after prelims on ESPN/ESPN+.

Two people with knowledge of the booking told MMA Junkie about the match on Monday, but asked to remain anonymous because the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.

Since defeating TJ Brown in his promotional debut at UFC 252 in August 2020, Chavez has dropped a unanimous decision to Jared Gordon, followed by a majority draw against Kai Kamaka at UFC on ESPN. 28 last July.

Meanwhile, Ramos has lost two of his last three. After beating Bill Algeo at UFC Fight Night 188, the 26-year-old Brazilian was beaten by Zubaira Tukhugov at UFC 267 last October in Abu Dhabi.
