He said,” Well, it’s just funny because. He literally called everyone in the welterweight division and nobody said anything. It’s as if someone had to say something. He walks on everyone in the whole division. He literally talks to everyone and nobody says anything and it’s just like, how are you going to let him say that all the time?

Maximov added, “He’s a good fighter, but it’s like I want to say at least try. Is anyone going to try to beat him? You know what I mean.”

Before his bout was booked against Gilbert Burns, the “Borz” called out numerous UFC fighters on social media. Some of the fighters he called up are Kamaru Usman, Colby Covington and Brock Lesnar.

Khamzat Chimaev will face former title challenger Gilbert Burns in a welterweight bout on April 9. The fight will take place at UFC 273, which is headlined by Alexander Volkanovski and Chan Sung Jung.

Nick Maximov hasn’t called anyone except Khamzat Chimaev after his recent win and there haven’t been any rumors about his next opponent either. However, former middleweight champion Chris Weidman could be next for Maximov if he plays his cards right.
