Joe Rogan and Dana White in 2021 Variety 500 list of entertainment industry’s most influential people

UFC commentator Joe Rogan and President Dana White were named to Variety magazine’s 500 Most Influential People in Global Entertainment and Media list for 2021.

Rogan was a part of Variety 500 mainly because of his podcast and the controversial topics he covered in various episodes. The 54-year-old comedian, actor and former TV presenter has been criticized by several for attacking “waking” culture and COVID-19 vaccines.

White, on the other hand, has listed his stance on the coronavirus. White led the charge to bring events back to normal in 2021, becoming one of the first sports to have full crowds at shows as well.

The UFC president has previously said the UFC will never require its fighters to be vaccinated. It has also enabled thousands of fans to attend pay-per-views in the United States without wearing masks and without maintaining social distancing.
