Praising Prochazka’s unorthodox fighting style and unpredictability, Bisping said:
“I’m thinking about Jiri Prochazka. I think he’s got his shot. I think when he fights the Teixeira gauntlet it won’t be easy because we haven’t seen the takedown and ground grappling defense; jiu-jitsu and Jiri Prochazka’s scrambling ability. But I think, on the feet, the man is powerful, he’s unorthodox, he’s a bit crazy in many ways. And that’s in sort of the key to his success. He’s very unorthodox and unpredictable. And I think this time next year Prochazka will dominate the roost at 205 [pounds].”
The fight is expected to headline the UFC 274 fight card. The championship clash will see Teixeira attempt to make his first title defense and the fight is also Prochazka’s first title fight inside the octagon of the championship. ‘UFC.
