Jorge Masvidal calls Colby Covington a ‘very limited’ fighter

Jorge Masvidal is eager to expose Colby Covington in and out of the octagon.

Masvidal (35-15 MMA, 12-8 UFC) will meet his former friend, now foe, in the main event on March 5 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and “Gamebred” is eager to settle the beef with his former teammate.

“It’s so amazing that I’m going to be able to punch this guy in the face,” Masvidal said Fox News’ Jesse Watters. “And I really don’t like this guy, and I’m going to get paid for it – a lot of money. And I can’t wait to show it to the world again. He’s a charlatan.

Masvidal and Covington (16-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) are strong supporters of former US President Donald Trump, but Masvidal thinks Covington is just putting up a front for promotional purposes.

“If you don’t believe me, just ask him what his favorite piece of legislation Trump passed while Trump was president, or something like that,” Masvidal said. “Ask this idiot anything to do with politics. You’ll see he’s just an impostor, man. He just keeps books to get triggers and things like that, but he doesn’t know anything about what he’s talking about. And when it comes to fighting, he’s very limited. I’ll show him, march (5), how limited he is.

Masvidal recently released an 11-minute promotional video, “The Real Street Judas,” in which he gave fans insight into how his relationship with Covington has soured over the years.
