Khabib Nurmagomedov announces huge partnership with legendary soccer star

Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of the greatest fighters in MMA history. The Russian fighter retired in 2020 with a 29-0 record after defending his UFC lightweight title against Justin Gaethje.

Everyone knows Nurmagomedov, the fighter, and his accomplishments in the sport, but according to him, MMA is not the greatest sport. “The Eagle” previously admitted that his favorite sport growing up was soccer. Even today, it is the best sport in the world according to him.

Nurmagomedov, recently partnered with Clarence Seedorf, combined his love for football and his passion for MMA. He and Seedorf announced the start of the Seedorf Khabib Performance Club in partnership with DMCC.

The former Dutch international star broke the news on his Instagram. In the mail he said, “I told you that something exciting was going to happen. I am finally able to share this with all of you guys. Truly proud to announce the worldwide launch of the Seedorf Khabib Performance Club!

He added, “We want to give young people around the world the opportunity to develop their sporting and social skills with a training methodology that combines football and mixed martial arts.”

Nurmagomedov, during his trip to England, had announced the news of the partnership with Seedorf.

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s love for football

Khabib Nurmagomedov is kind of trying to give back to the sport he has always loved. Growing up he loved to play football and followed most European leagues.

In an interview about his trip to England, he said: “I don’t know why I became a fighter. When I was young I really liked football. I remember when I was young, like 13-14, I could play a few hours of football on my own. I was following everything like the UEFA Champions League, the World Cup, the Premier League, Serie-A, La Liga, everything. “

In the same interview, he announced his partnership with Clarence Seedorf. The two plan to open performance clubs in several cities, with Dubai being the launching pad.
