Michael Trizano won’t put pressure on himself to slip

NEW YORK — Michael Trizano spoke to reporters during the media day ahead of UFC 281.

Trizano (9-3 MMA, 3-3 UFC), who won Season 27 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” entered the UFC undefeated and made a successful promotional debut. However, the 30-year-old has lost three of his last four fights, including two in a row against Hakeem Dawodu and Lucas Almeida.

He will look to break his losing slip when he meets Seungwoo Choi (10-5 MMA, 3-4 UFC) on Saturday.

“I hate to lose, so it’s still number 1,” Trizano told reporters, including MMA Junkie, on media day. “I don’t really put any pressure on myself. I take one fight at a time. Yeah, this is the first time in my career that I’ve lost back-to-back fights in anything, and yeah, that sucks. But I’m just going to go out there and implement my game plan, and that’s what it’s all about. The one who wants more.

UFC 281 takes place Saturday at Madison Square Garden. The main card airs on pay-per-view after the prelims on ESPNews and the early prelims on ESPN+.
