“Pay your fu ***** fighter what you owe him”

Dana White addressed words of harsh criticism to boxing promoter Bob Arum in an epic rant last year.

One of the most scathing jibes Dana White has given to the promoter was a statement he called out to Arum for allegedly failing to pay his fighters. Weighing in on Arum allegedly refusing to pay one of his best boxers, Terence Crawford, Dana White asserted: “Pay your fu ***** fighter what you owe him.”

During a media melee, Dana White was asked to comment on the much-discussed Arum-Crawford feud. The UFC boss didn’t mince his words and started poking fun at Arum. Blanc said:

“(Could you) imagine if I said that? Are you kidding me You would kill me if I said that. I would never hear the end of it. This is what you do. That’s not his (Crawford’s) fucking problem. It is your problem. Its problem is not how you make money. You, damn, signed a deal with that kid. Your job is to promote it. Your job is; you made a deal – All these kids that I’m signing, you know, and if you look right now at all the kids that we’ve signed and how many people we have, our roster is pretty bloated right now. We have a very, very large list; biggest list we have ever had in the history of the company.

White continued that it was Arum’s job to find ways to pay his boxers. The UFC president continued:

“I have to pay all these kids. How I pay them isn’t their fucking problem. This is my fucking problem. And this guy wants to go, imagine me saying, “Oh, I have to pay Conor McGregor, my God; that much money. I could have built a house in Beverly Hills. Shut up, fucking king of shit. Pay your fucking fighter what you owe him. It’s your job. And Bob Arum is a piece of fucking shit. Good night everybody.”

In November 2020, one of the hot topics in the boxing world was the feud between Top Rank Boxing promoter Bob Arum and his client – one of the greatest pound-for-pound boxers of this generation, Terence Crawford.

Arum had claimed he was losing money promoting Crawford’s fights because Crawford wasn’t a good enough box office draw.

Crawford is expected to face Shawn Porter next. This will be the last fight in Crawford’s contract with Top Rank Boxing. The contract expires in October.
