UFC Booking Sean O’Malley – Raulian Paiva

The Suga Show returns to the UFC. ESPN’s Brett Okamoto was the first to report tonight that Sean O’Malley (14-1) has his next date inside the Octagon. Suga Sean will then face Raulian Paiva (21-3).

The fight will take place at UFC 269 on December 11. In recent days, O’Malley has teased that he would fight over this card. At one point, he tweeted hinting that he would face Dominick Cruz.

Earlier today, we found out that Cruz will take on Pedro Munhoz at UFC 269. Munhoz was another fighter that O’Malley was referring to in the fight. However, he won’t fight either and he’ll get Paiva instead.

Like O’Malley, Paiva earned a UFC contract by winning a fight on The Contender Series. However, he would lose his first two fights in the UFC. Granted, they belonged to the flyweight division and two of the best fighters in the division.

Paiva switched to bantamweight for her last fight and faced off against Kyler Phillips. He put in an incredible performance and took the victory. Now he will try to use this momentum to defeat Sean O’Malley.

UFC 269 now features the Suga Show

There is no doubt that Sean O’Malley has an “it” factor in him. When you watch him, watch how he fights and listen to the way he talks, the guy can be a superstar for the UFC.

However, he still has to save everything inside the octagon. O’Malley has been very good during his tenure with the UFC, but he still hasn’t faced the best of the best at 135 pounds.

By taking on this fight against Paiva, he faces a top prospect, but not someone near the top. These are the kinds of fights O’Malley really needs to stage if he is to be taken seriously and get the big names and the big budget.

UFC 269 won’t be an easy night for O’Malley. It will be a tough fight for him, just like it was a tough fight for Kyler Phillips. I’m actually really excited about this game.
