UFC champ Leon Edwards doesn’t show up at UFC Paris, hangs out at WWE Clash at the Castle instead

UFC Paris exceeded expectations earlier tonight (Saturday September 3, 2022) when all French talent was victorious and the overall quality of the fights was quite high. Plus, the crowd was absolutely crazy for the first-ever UFC event on French soil, which made the stakes even higher.

Although French champion Francis Ngannou was in attendance, UFC welterweight pivot Leon Edwards, who resides in Birmingham, England, did not put on a show. Instead, “Rocky” rubbed elbows at the WWE: Clash at the Castle event inside the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. The Clash at the Castle event is WWE’s first major UK stadium show in almost 20 years!

Edwards is pictured below with WWE Superstar Triple H, and he is also seen in the video for ‘Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury.

“A lot of excitement for #WWECastle @principalitysta …great to have the champion @Leon_edwardsmma join us tonight!

Edwards and his recently captured UFC title also competed on the main show.

When Edwards’ shin smashed into Kamaru Usman’s skull in the main event of UFC 278, his life changed forever. “Rocky” is now a champion and a star, which opens up unique opportunities as above. However, he may have to let some go as many contenders have their eyes on his title.
