UFC Hall of Fame member Rashad Evans explains how he found Khabib Nurmagomedov’s ‘desire to compete again’ for Eagle FC



UFC legend Rashad Evans is a former champion and an audience favorite. However, the fighter hasn’t competed since 2018 and the UFC has even inducted the 205-pound king into their Hall Of Fame, Class of 2019. Meanwhile, the legend is set to make his return to Eagle FC 44.

The UFC veteran will return to MMA on January 28 at the inaugural North American event of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Eagle Fighting Championship, Eagle FC 44. Notably, the venue for this event will be FLX Arena, Miami, Florida. Where ‘Suga’ will face Gabriel Checco in a light heavyweight bout as the event co-star.

The UFC legend will retire after more than three years, and he has something to say about his return. In a conversation with MMA Junkie, the veteran fighter revealed his motivation to take back his gloves for Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Eagle FC.

“I’ve been trying to fight for a while now. I’ve only been practicing this for a while, having fun with it, and I got to a point where I was like, “Maybe we’ll do a little more and see what happens.” I’m just excited. It was a lot of fun getting back to it and starting to train again like the good old days. Evans said.

“It can certainly be more than once. Of course, it can be more than once. But I’m 42, so I’m just taking my time, one fight at a time.

“When I finished competing, I felt like I hadn’t really given everything I could give. I kind of stopped not when it was my biggest choice, “ Evans said.

“I more or less quit based just on the emotion of what I was feeling at the time. I couldn’t really understand things on a certain level and I was like, ‘I can’t compete. like that. “As soon as I did a little soul-searching and sort of figured out some things with myself, I felt like competing again.”
