Muhammad Mokaev wants the masses to understand that the UFC does more than just pay fighters.

The top MMA promotion has been accused of underpaying its fighters lately. While some fighters think they aren’t getting paid enough, promotional newcomer Muhammad Mokaev says being in the business isn’t just about getting paid.

According to Mokaev, the promotion does a lot of other things for its fighters besides paying them. However, some people don’t recognize this and only focus on fighters complaining about their salary. In a recent tweet, the former Brave CF star wrote:

“The UFC doesn’t get enough credit for what they do behind the scenes, the amount of staff that works and helps fighters with everything. Don’t just look at a fighter’s salary, look at how much they invest behind the scenes! Thank you @ufc and all the staff!”

Muhammad Mokaev is set to make his promotional debut this weekend at the O2 Arena in London, England. The undefeated prospect is an exciting addition to the promotion’s flyweight division. He will be looking to pick up a decisive victory against Cody Durden this Saturday.

UFC COO hits out at Jake Paul for sparking fighter pay outcry

Jake Paul actively threw shade at the world’s premier MMA promotion while campaigning for better health care plans and increased pay for fighters. The YouTuber-turned-pro boxer also urges fighters to vent their frustrations as well.

Lawrence Epstein, the company’s chief operating officer, recently addressed the issue and refuted claims that the promotion is underpaying its fighters. He also suggested that Paul only does such things to earn money from the attention he receives. In a recent interview with Sports Business JournalEpstein said:

“Some things are completely hypocritical. With Jake Paul, he takes advantage of the attention economy where the more attention you get, the more money you make.”

As it stands, Jake Paul has issued another challenge to UFC President Dana White. According to Paul, he wants a one-fight deal to face Conor McGregor under the promotion’s banner.

‘The Problem Child’ tweeted:

Dana – Since you love me now, how about a UFC 1 fight deal to fight Conor. If I win, you accept my UFC fighter payment and healthcare offer. If I lose I donate my entire purse to all the UFC fighters who make less than $50,000 a fight and never mention the UFCDeal again?
