UFC fan favorite Nate Diaz struggled to contain his laughter when he heard YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul imagine his chances in a fight with pound-for-pound number one boxer Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez .
“The Problem Child” has won five times since transitioning to professional boxing in 2020, but has yet to fight anyone with a background in the sport.

Nate could have finished Leon Edwards in his last fight, but wanted to goad him about the shot he landed on him that rocked his opponent.
Despite this, Paul is backing himself to become world champion and beat Canelo, who is currently the undisputed super middleweight champion and widely regarded as the best boxer on the planet.
MMA legend Diaz laughed at Paul when a reporter revealed to him that the former Disney actor claimed he would beat Alvarez.
“To what? Diaz responded to a chorus of laughter from the vicinity.
Prior to Saturday’s epic fight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, Paul and fellow boxing promoter Eddie Hearn were publicly at odds over the internet celebrity’s boxing pedigree.

The president of Matchroom Boxing bluntly told Paul that he was an average fighter who would never be world champion and would lose to anyone on his roster.
Paul responded by saying he would beat any Matchroom Boxing fighter who has had less than 10 professional fights.
The 25-year-old went on to say that in time he will face and beat Canelo.
“Just give me a few years, I’m coming for your boy Canelo,” Paul said.
Canelo is widely regarded as the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world and Stevenson has ambitions to join them on the elite roster.

Diaz is expected to end his UFC run later this year
The controversial crossover star is set to return to the ring in August for his sixth professional bout. At this time, it’s unclear who his opponent will be, but a fight against UFC fighter Diaz could well be on the line.
Diaz only has one fight left on his current contract with the MMA leader and doesn’t seem interested in re-signing.
The 36-year-old has repeatedly made public appeals to the organization asking them to book his last fight in the UFC. Diaz is keen to fight for his contract and explore what promises to be a lucrative free agency market.
