Tamires Vidal is coming off a win on his LFA debut last March and signed a forward with the UFC. With the UFC needing all the blood they can get at women’s bantamweight, Vidal was signed. She is set to fight Ramona Pascual (6-4, 0-2 UFC) who is still looking for her first UFC win.

How will Vidal do in the UFC:

Vidal’s CV looks pretty good. His only loss is against UFC fighter Karol Rosa. She won over Queila Braga and Ailin Perez who is in the UFC. To say that Vidal lost against the two ladies before finding the victory. She caught Braga in a heel hook and only beat Perez because of a DQ.

Vidal is a bad signing for the UFC with nothing to really offer. She has decent ground and weight and is strong in the clinch and that’s about it. His footwork is flat and tends to follow his opponent. The strike is sloppy and wild. You will never see technique but just reversals instead.

The ground game is where she wants to be, it doesn’t help that her wrestling isn’t up to snuff. His takedown defense hasn’t looked good and on his back there are issues. Honestly, there aren’t many positives to highlight with Vidal.

How she confronts Pascual:

This fight is between two disappointing fighters. Vidal has never looked UFC level and Pascual is having a tough run. There could be a botched fall unfolding as the two tend to get hit often. Vidal is good in the clinch but Pascual is better. Vidal is doing well at the top but I see Pasual is the one finishing the takedowns. I don’t like this fight but I think Pascual is better in all areas.
