When UFC’s Dustin Poirier broke his strength and training regimen to an amazed Joe Rogan

UFC fighter Dustin Poirier has been in the news lately because Colby Covington called him up at UFC 272. After a unanimous decision win, Covington called Poirier up for a fight. Although the Louisiana-based fighter has previously said the fight won’t happen, Poirier certainly has an interesting fight camp. In an older episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the fighter was overheard talking about his strength and conditioning.

Poirier said, “At the start of every training camp, my strength and conditioning coach Phil Daru kind of gets a base. As we build from the base and change it in phases throughout training camp. So the base at the start of camp is a lot of you, some legs, and a lot of lifting.

Poirier also said it not only helps him get stronger, but also helps him be more efficient in his movements. Post this, a video of the fighter with Daru showed him doing some moves. Poirier also explained that he never had back problems and that impressed Rogan. So, it looks like his strength and conditioning training is paying off.

While Covington’s beef with Jorge Masvidal is huge, he also has unfinished business with Poirier. As reported by ‘mma fight‘, the feud between ‘Chaos’ and Poirier began while they were training at ‘American Top Team’ in Florida.

After that, Covington called out Poirier again after a win over Masvidal, during the in-ring interview conducted by Joe Rogan.
